What we collect

When you run a report we read the PDF you upload and keep the text of your profile, the goal and audience you tell us, and the report we generate. LinkedIn's PDF export includes your contact details — your profile URL, and sometimes an email address, phone number and personal links — and we keep those too.

How we use it

To produce your report, to improve the quality of our analysis, and to contact you about Mischief Managed — for example to share profile tips or let you know about new features. We do not sell your data.

Who else sees it

Your profile text and stated goal are sent to our AI provider to generate the analysis. Your report lives at a private, unguessable link — anyone with that link can read it, so share it only with people you want to see it. It is not indexed by search engines.

Your account

Your first scan needs no account. To scan again you sign in with Google, and from Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture, nothing else: we never see your Google password or your inbox. Scans you run signed in are saved to your account, and a scan you ran before signing in is added too when the email on that resume is the one you signed in with.

Payments

Your first scan is free. Unlimited scans cost a one-time payment, processed by Razorpay. Your card, UPI or bank details go straight to Razorpay and never reach our servers. We keep only the order and payment references, the amount, and the date, so we can confirm your access and answer any billing question. Razorpay handles that payment data under its own privacy policy.

To keep the free scan to one per person, we record it in a few ways: a random identifier in a cookie and a note in your browser's local storage, plus one-way fingerprints of the resume text and of the email addresses, phone number and LinkedIn profile found on the resume used for the free scan, and of your account if you were signed in. The fingerprints can only be matched, not read back. None of this is shared outside RezumBay.

Analytics

We count how the site is used with our own analytics, running on our own servers. It stores a random id kept in your browser's local storage, the page you viewed, the site that referred you, any campaign tag in the link you followed, your country, and whether you are on a phone or a desktop. It never stores your IP address, your full browser details, or anything you typed. These records delete themselves automatically after 120 days, and our analytics sets no cookies.

We also run two third-party tools — Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised session replays so we can see where the site confuses people, and Google Analytics. Unlike ours, these are operated by those companies, do set cookies, and are covered by their own privacy policies.

Deleting your data

Open your report and use Delete this report to remove the report at any time. If you would also like the contact details from your profile removed from our records, email us and we will delete them.
