What RezumBay is, and what it refuses to claim

A small independent product with a narrow promise: read the document properly, say what is wrong with it, and do not invent a crisis to sell the fix.

  • Independent

Not venture backed and not a content farm with a tool attached. A small product that charges for itself.

  • One payment

A single payment for unlimited checks, in your own currency. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel.

  • No invented statistics

You will not find the 75% rejection claim here, because we went looking for its source and there is not one.

  • Free to judge

The first check needs no account and no card, so you can decide on the output rather than the pitch.

RezumBay reads a resume or CV and tells you three things: how it parses, what a recruiter concludes in the first few seconds, and which specific lines to rewrite. If you put a GitHub or portfolio link on the document, it reads that too.

That is the whole product. It is a narrower promise than most of this industry makes, and the narrowness is deliberate.

Why the usual statistic is missing

Nearly every resume tool and article opens by telling you that screening software automatically rejects around three quarters of resumes before a human sees them. We went looking for the study behind that number, because we were going to cite it too.

There is no study. The figure traces back to marketing material from a company called Preptel around 2012, which shut down in 2013, and it has been passed between articles ever since with each one citing the last. When recruiters are actually surveyed, the overwhelming majority say their system does not auto reject anybody.

So the claim is not here. The long version, with what the screening really does, is one of the first things we wrote, because a tool that opens with a fabricated crisis has told you something about how carefully it did the rest of its homework.

Where our own evidence is thin, the pages say so. The recruiter survey correcting that figure is small and run by a company selling resume tools, and we say that too.

Why one payment

Almost every tool in this category is a monthly subscription. That model suits the seller, because a job hunt runs longer than anybody plans and the forgotten cancellation is a real part of the revenue.

It does not suit most buyers. If your problem is the document, you fix it once. So the price here is a single payment for unlimited checks, shown and charged in your own currency, and there is nothing to remember to cancel. Where a subscription is genuinely the better buy is written up honestly, including the cases where you should not buy from us.

What it does not do

  • It does not write your resume for you. It rewrites specific weak lines so you can accept or argue with them. A document written entirely by a machine reads like one.
  • It does not review your code. The GitHub read is the public surface of your profile, the way a reviewer skims it. Nothing that scans in seconds genuinely reviews code.
  • It does not review LinkedIn profiles. Some competitors do and they are the right purchase if that is what you need.
  • It cannot tell you why one application went unanswered. Usually several hundred other people applied. No tool changes that arithmetic, and one that implies otherwise is selling you something.
  • It does not guarantee interviews. Nobody can, and the ones who say so are worth avoiding.

Who makes it

A small independent team, building from India for readers in eighteen countries so far, counted conservatively from scans rather than from visits. It is funded by the people who pay for it rather than by investors, which is the reason the pricing is a single payment and the reason there is no upsell waiting after the free check.

There is also a student ambassador programme, because a lot of the people this is most useful to are applying for their first job and hear about tools from somebody in their own college rather than from an advert.

How your file is handled

Your resume is uploaded to be analysed and the report is kept so you can come back to it. It is not sold, not shared with recruiters, and not used as training data for anybody else's model. The privacy policy is the authoritative version of that and is written to be read rather than to be survived.

Questions people ask

Is RezumBay free?
The first check is free with no account and no card. Unlimited checks after that are a single payment, priced in your own currency, rather than a monthly subscription.
Who is behind RezumBay?
A small independent team building from India, funded by the people who pay for the product rather than by investors.
Do you sell my resume or my data?
No. Your file is analysed and your report is kept so you can return to it. It is not sold, not shared with recruiters, and not used to train anybody else's model.
Why does your advice disagree with other resume sites?
Mostly because we checked the sources. Several staples of resume advice, including the claim that software rejects three quarters of applications and the rule against sending a PDF, do not survive being looked up.
Can you guarantee I will get interviews?
No, and any tool that says it can is worth leaving alone. What a document tool can honestly do is remove the reasons that are your own, which is a smaller and more useful claim.
